Artifact - The Sleeping Lady of Malta

The Sleeping Lady was found in an egg shaped chamber in the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, an underground temple and burial chamber in Malta. She most likely symbolized death and regeneration because she is sleeping, as in death, but sleeping inside an egg as if awaiting rebirth. |
